Blessed Feast of Nineveh!
The Malankara students at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary were blessed with the presence of alumni of St. Tikhon’s, Fr. Joel Mathew. There were also three other visitors accompanying Fr. Joel as well: Renin Cherian, Argey George, and Reuben Thomas. Fr. Joel and the visitors came for the duration of the Nineveh Lent. They arrived on Monday (February 3rd) and stayed until Thursday morning (February 6th).
During their three day visit, they received a tour of the seminary, sat in on a couple of classes, and were able to meet with His Eminence Archbishop Michael, the Rector of St. Tikhon’s. All of the hours for the Nineveh Lent were led by Fr. Joel. To end the Nineveh Lent, Fr. Joel celebrated Divine Liturgy Wednesday evening. Afterward, everyone went to dinner and enjoyed a night of fellowship. It was truly a blessed experience, and it was especially a blessing for the Seminarians to be able to have a Priest available for all the hours of prayer.
