Fr. Daniel and Fr. Abraham Visit St. Tikhon's

On July 26th, 2019, the newly ordained Fr. Daniel (Dennis) Mathai (STOTS 08') along with Fr. Abraham (Abey) George (STOTS 09') visited St. Tikhon's. After visiting the Monastery Church, they offered prayers in the Indian Orthodox Chapel. This is Fr. Daniel's first time visiting the Chapel after the renovations that took place earlier this year. He was filled with joy to see the transformation of the Chapel since his time at STOTS.

Father Daniel currently serves as the executive assistant to our Diocesan Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos. He is also the first person of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church to study at St. Tikhon's for a full three years. Fr. Daniel serves as a Chaplain at the VA Medical Center. He is married to Matushka Christina and has a son, Elijah.

Father Abraham is currently a pastor at St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Levittown. NY. He also serves as the Secretary to our Diocesan Metropolitan. Moreover, he is also a Chaplain at the VA Medical Center. In addition, he serves as the Director of the FOCUS Ministry of the Northeast American Diocese.

After shooting around in the newly renovated Gym, they headed over to the bookstore to buy some books and our delicious Burning Bush Coffee! We would like to thank both Fr. Abraham and Fr. Daniel for visiting us. Their continued support and prayers strengthen us as we continue in their footsteps at America's Holy Mountain, St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary and Monastery.
